Brian Marquis has more than 20 years equine experience in many different disciplines including stable management, instructing, breaking-in and the training of horses for show jumping, eventing and ceremonial occasions.

He has competed professionally in:

1 and 2 day eventing
show jumping up to grade C
hunter trials and team chase
flat racing
national hunt events

and was a lead driver with The Kings Troop Royal Horse Artillery during is military career.

Brian has more recently achieved the following qualifications: NVQ3 Teaching Assistant, NVQ4 PTLLS (adults), CIEH Level 2 in Health & Safety and First Aid at Work (3 day course). These have enhanced Brian’s teaching abilities especially with children that have behavioural problems or difficulty in learning.

Brian has the experience of having performed many “tricks” and more obscure rider talents as

he has performed vaulting, tent pegging, skill at arms and ridden standing on 2 horses!
